Our first experience with supplementation came via our oldest son and his difficulty falling asleep (sleep onset normally took him several hours). After extensive testing and seeing several specialists, our eldest son was diagnosed with failure to enter REM sleep. Our Pediatrician (whom we greatly respect and consider a friend) was out of options and placed our son on dangerous narcotics. Realizing the negative side effects of narcotics use, Amy knew that there must be a better answer. She started researching natural remedies for our then two-year-old. She found her answer-- a calcium-magnesium imbalance. She started our son on a liquid calcium/magnesium supplement and he started sleeping within days. The natural answer was there, we just had to look outside of the realm of conventional medicine.
This event provided the desire in Amy to learn more about the world of vitamins, herbs, and proper supplementation. Since then, Amy has become a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Natural Health Practitioner, and is studying to complete her Naturopath degree. She has made recommendations that have helped many family members, friends, and clients. We share the desire to help others find better ways to handle the challenges of life.
